Heritage Village, Failaka, Kuwait - a palace restored and converted
into a museum. The village also exhibits traditional architecture,
factories and a mosque. Archaelogists have uncovered settlements and
artefacts there dating back to 3,200 B.C. Forty-four heritage houses
and seven heritage rooms have now been restored to their former glory.
Come to the island
with your own private boat or the ferry, which runs daily excepting
Saturday and Monday; leaving Kuwait at 8:15 a.m. and returning from
Failaka at 12:30 pm, the crossing takes 1 and a 1/2 hours.
